It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, the Women's final is on at approximately 8:30 pm Central time - there would be no logical reason for ESPN to NOT show it live, right? Same with the Men's tomorrow?

And there is a preview for the Top Chef finale up - it looks like they brought back Betty instead of Cliff. Interesting teams: Marcel with Sam and Michael and Ilan with Elia and Betty.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

With the fever thing -- I was just thinking that a 1 degree body temperature jump is in Celsius is so much more significant than it is, in Fahrenheit.

Yeah. I think if people measure body temperature in C, they include the first decimal for greater precision (for the reason you mentioned).

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Congratulations again Jessica! I just read the baby spoiler!

Does anyone remember someone posting an online savings account service thing here? I can't remember the name of it.

Woman, 65, saves husband from mountain lion

Nell Hamm said she grabbed a 4-inch-diameter log and beat the animal with it, but it would not release its hold on her husband's head.

"Jim was talking to me all through this, and he said, 'I've got a pen in my pocket and get the pen and jab him in the eye,"' she said.

"So I got the pen and tried to put it in his eye, but it didn't want to go in as easy as I thought it would."

I hope Nutty is taking notes.

Much house-ma Sue!

If that report about Nancy Pelosi is actually true, then my liking of her has increased muchly even if she does blink a lot.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The tradeoff for measuring fevers in C rather than F is that tenths of a degree are more easily measured (and meaningful) in C.

First of all, Way to go Nell.

Second of all, I think this is the reason that Nutty needs to give a traveling seminar on how to beat up large cats.

What is even happening?

Yeah. I think if people measure body temperature in C, they include the first decimal for greater precision (for the reason you mentioned).
I think I'd want two decimal places, since you look at the first decimal with Fahrenheit body tempertures, too.

If I'm obsessing about my child's week long fever, I want to obsess with some measure of precision.

Damn! I saw Nutty on the subway this morning and I didn't remember to mention the mountain lion incident to her!

FWIW, I've often pointed out the idiocy of security regulations that forbid teensy nailclippers but let you bring pens and pencils onboard, becuase you can much more easily kill somebody with those things.
