Most people is pretty quiet right about now. Me, I see a stiff -- one I didn't have to kill myself -- I just get, the urge to, you know, do stuff. Like work out, run around, maybe get some trim if there's a willin' woman about... not that I get flush from corpses or anything. I ain't crazy.

Now tagless for your comfort.

They have to be tried out. I vote for Tally

I like that. I'm taking cues from her Mom and Grandma at the moment. She's in for a ride when she gets to school, that's for sure. The name's Hebrew (Mom & Grandma are both professors of Hebrew) but it won't be completely unknown in our neighborhood.

Her mom's brother got a kick out of the ham jokes when she was first named, though. I admit that I laughed, too.

I wonder how common the name is in Israel.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The name brings hamantaschen to mind right away, and I'd totally call her that as an endearment. I'm almost Lorne-like in my taste that way. Although I run out of ideas and end up calling kids "Muffin pan."

Hey! Still in bed. But sitting up, and my head hurts again. Sadly, the reasons for getting up haven't gone anywhere.

But Supernatural is going to be on my TV in half an hour, and you can bet I'll be laid out on the living room floor (I'm experimenting with surfaces) for that.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

From the same source that correctly predicted Rumsfeld's resignation:

The CC Insider/InDecider has just heard more rumors (see earlier posts) from a SECOND reliable source that Dick Cheney will be stepping down as Vice President and will be replaced as Vice President by Condoleezza Rice. And now we're hearing that she would like to be on the ticket as the GOP VP candidate in '08.

Swouncing

My neighbor's granddaughter is named Hamutal

That's not a common name. I know one girl my age with it, but that's all.

"Tal", however (or "Tali", or like ita spelled it, or "Talya") is a much more common name. I know women in their thirties and twenties with it, as well as teenagers and little kids.

It's also used to short longer names with that sound in them, like "Hamutal" or "Revital".

Oh, and it's also sometimes used for boys. Not often, but sometimes.

The meaning of the word "tal" in Hebrew is "morning dew". I think it's a lovely name (and not just because I have several friends and family members with it!).

it's been so like old times to have you around for a while

I've never been gone! I'm always here. My fingers are just not quick enough to type posts all the time. Seeing stuff like "old times" makes me a bit sad about that.

I wonder if his delusional ravings to Wolf Blitzer were just a set up for this? I honestly don't know how to feel about this rumor. Overjoyed? Worried?

Ambivalent seems to be the watchword.

My neighbor did tell me this--it is quite lovely.

oh HELL NO! throwing up in mouth.

Nauseated is also the watchword.

What could his resignation possibly do for the administration? I can't even really see it as a benefit for the GOP in '08 when you consider that the responsiblity for Iraq is going to be a key issue. And since she'll be right in line to take a portion of the blame, she'd only be a liability on the ticket. Any ticket.

I'm sorry! I just like it better when you're not invisible, even if it took an email server barfing to make it that way. Next time, better day.

What? Making the best of a bad situation.

Okay, I ignore most of the political stuff here, but what you just posted, tommy, feels worth me pointing out that I'm ignoring. Almost blithely.

Slept through kettlebell today. Grr. Slacker! Must hit the gym hard tomorrow after my interview, as long as the knee is amenable.

I have a business formal interview next week, and no business formal clothes that fit. I can't believe that. Maybe I can get another job before then.

It gives them being the first party to have a woman and a minority in the VP position.
