Subversive Knitting
Subersive knitters frankly are a threat to national security and need to be locked up. We're just lucky to have an attorney general who doesn't let implied "rights" in the "constitution" get in the way.

t whine So the file that made me stay last night until 2am in the university? The one I had to finish and e-mail before leaving? Yup, there was a problem in the university e-mail's server, it decided that my e-mail was spam, didn't send it, and what's worse - didn't let me know that it wasn't sent. So I came here after teaching, trusting there would be comments and corrections in time for me to fix them, only to discover that everybody was in an uproar because my file was missing and the deadline is upon us and I wasn't there. I was nearly in tears. The one thing I stayed up so late in order to try to prevent, and of course it Murphied on me.
t /whine (even though it never really closes)
So I decided that the way for the universe to compensate me is to play on b.org while I edit in the changes now. Especially since it probably means that this is going to be another not-so-short night.
[Edit: oh, and the universe just signaled that I made the right choice, because my post #? 5+7=12, and it's all like a secret code in reverse and stuff, because it has 17 spelled backwards in it, too!]
Sorry that happened Nilly. Bad e-mail server, no biscuit.
Vice President Dick Cheney on Wednesday dismissed as "hogwash" the suggestion that blunders may have hurt the administration's credibility on Iraq and led members of Congress on both sides of the aisle to question President Bush's plan to send more troops to Baghdad.
Nobody denies reality like Cheney.
Gud! At least it got me posting with you, and I can't remember when that happened last! How are you doing?
Pretty good.
How are things over there aside from badly behaved servers?

That's awful! You poor thing.
I wrote a 2 page letter to the teacher asking for some information on what happened. He may have fallen, but not walking home as I walk him both to schoola nd home from afterschool and between the two he takes a bus. No way I am having my non-English speaking 5 yo walk on the streets alone.
Pretty good
That's good to read.
Also, does that mean that the whole - um, which machine was it, again? Time traveling or robot duplicating? Or just a general let's-rule-the-world thing? Anyway, is that all finished in your castle?
How are things over there aside from badly behaved servers?
Crazy busy. They asked me mid-semester to replace a lecturer in one of the classes, so that's eating up pretty much all of my time. I mean, I love teaching and the students are great and I knew it was going to be time-consuming going in. It's the good kind of busy. So, other than mocking myself regarding my whiny-ness, I'm not really complaining.
[Edit:
msbelle! I'm sorry for poor mac, but at least he saw last night and today that you're there for him and he can trust you, tell you stuff and have you improve things, right? Or is that too Pollyanna-ish of me?]
