I've said some pretty hateful things, too, when I've been very sick. And then immediately regretted it.
So, you know, benefit of the doubt. The Golden Globes outburst was so weird, it makes me wonder about whether he's batshit.
I mean, I'm batshit, too, when I'm not medicated.
That's me, everyone's zany co-worker down the hall. With a croquet mallet.

Yeah, that's true, Nilly. But it'll still be hard to explain if I start yelling Old West insults across the room in public.
In a podcast recently one of the gossipers from TV Guide implied that lots of things were done for Isiah after the first outburst. If there's a second after all that, it's Time To Go.
Well, sure. Even if he is batshit crazy, reasonable accommodation stops where I start. Abuse isn't part of the deal.

And I like the mushiness! Even if it's accompanied by weariness or paint-peeling profanity.

which I didn't, but adore now that I've read it.
The second outburst really caught my attention--I understand bigotry way better than I understand blatant disregard for the truth in fucking public.

Not so much the studying, I'm sad to say, but the bureaucratic stuff around it. We're handing in a research grant proposal at the end of the week, with 3 other groups, and I'm assembling everybody's parts on top of writing my own.]
