Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Wait, the Clementine lovers weren't referring to the John Ford movie?

Well don't take Hec's crack-smoking word for it! Me, I was referring to the gawdawful folk song. But see, that's the beauty of the thread title. It works on so many levels.

Honestly, the Pynchon novela is almost unreadably bad. If it hadn't been on the midterm, I totally would have skipped it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

If Chumley had been a girl-cat, he'd have most likely been a Clementine.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

You're never going to beat Pynchon in a battle of references.

That's for sure.

Honestly, the Pynchon novela is almost unreadably bad.

For an ultrasmartie, you are so, so very wrong.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

C'mon! It's got a Beatles parody band called The Paranoids. With songs!

Who wouldn't want to read that?

I actually need to go to Sephora today. We'll see if I have enough energy to fight my way down the Magnificent Mile in a half-hour. Maybe if I reward myself with manga?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Admit it! Jane Austen has no beatle parody bands in her novels. Not one.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Crying over my clementine.

Wait! I take it back, I have a new favorite for thread title.

I actually need to go to Sephora today.

For concealer? Black nail polish? Smashbox? Sexy sexy lipstick?

We'll see if I have enough energy to fight my way down the Magnificent Mile in a half-hour. Maybe if I reward myself with manga?

What's that manga genre with all the androgynous boy love?

Though, thinking back on the coke machine you slashed, I recall you prefer rough trade.

Too late. Way too late. What, do you think of comebacks when you're lying in bed at night?
