Thanks, Allyson. One of the nicest things about this community is the opportunity to meet so many amazing writers (that/which throwdowns notwithstanding).
Congrats to you on your book, too!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

DJ, you can claim any number of dependents for the sake of withholding. I used to claim quite a few because otherwise I'd end up with over-withholding. When you file your taxes, it doesn't make any difference.
I loved all the interaction between Daniel and Betty. And I always love Wilhelmina. And Marc. But the ending just made my eyes roll right out of my head and down the elevator shaft.
I was just confused. I honestly wondered whether it was Fey and she was going to pretend to be Alex. But I liked everything else.
Oh, I like that theory! I could end up LOVING that!
Comma which! Comma which!
You know, MS Word did something right: their grammar checker ingrained in me the correct way of doing that/which. But I'd say about half of the incredibly smart people and excellent writers/grammarians I work with are ignorant of the distinction.
Comma which!
Pez witch!
Croissanwich!!
The Office!
UK or US?
YES!
(Okay, lisah beat me to the punch with "BOTH" but I had to pick up my kid from school, and I was totally thinking "YES" beforehand.)
That said, I will throwdown on behalf of The Office (US). The UK original only had fourteen episodes, total. Forty-one episodes of the US adaptation have aired, as of last night.
It's its own show, in its own right, and as of this third season (which, so far, is even better than the awesome second -- the 2nd season being when the show stopped leaning so heavily on the original) it's become my favorite show currently on TV.
I'm not saying the US version is better, but I am saying if I could only have one, I'd give up the UK version (with a bit of a heavy heart, but I'd totally get over it, because I love the US version that much).

That's okay, I'll take the UK version for you.
Thanks Ginger! I'll pass it on!

Everyone wins (well, everyone who is us).
