"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Dammit! TW Cable's guide thingie is wrong wrong wrong. There is no Izzard on my tv! There's Mile High, which is fine as far as it goes, but...want...boy. in. eyeliner. Want dry, smart humor.

I'll Get You Time Warner! And, BBCA (should it be their fault) too!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

The end of MNIE reminded me of Gus.

Also, that was the best TWoP shout-out ever.

Coming in late...

I think that pedantic time-dude is being childish, and that responding snarkily will just reinforce it because then you're being childish, too. And I would definitely want to be snarky in that situation, but if you want the behavior to stop, I think it is probably worth saying, "Did you understand that I was asking for you to tell me the time, if you knew it?" You have to do it in as calm a manner as possible, which will require some self-control. If he says "No, I really didn't know," you can roll your eyes but still say, "Well, now you do." If he says, "Yes, but -- " you can say, "So why didn't you just tell me?" I *think* that calling him on it that way gives him the fewest ways to evade the fact that he's deliberately being a jerk. Because the shtick is based on him being able to deny that it's deliberate.

Also, this

The knowledge that you guys can never be as streamlined and logical as I always am is just something I'll have to savour smugly but internally. Externally I play your little games because I'm that good.
is why I heart ita.

What is even happening?

(White font for "The Office")

Um. Am I the only one, after watching the latest episode of The Office, who has become a total Dwight/Angela shipper? Because now I want them to get married and be totally crazy together. Weird!

shrift, you are not alone. Did your heart ache a little, because of the expression on Dwight's face when Dwight said, "She told you?" to Michael, but then Dwight realized Michael still didn't know D&A were together, and still thought they were just co-workers ?

My computer was off last night by the time I watched, and I was tempted to turn it back on, just so I could post "OH! SHOW!" in my lj, and then turn it back off.

And of course, Jim killed me dead. So did Karen, who I really like. And so did Pam, with her joy at being able to prank this asshat (with Jim!) who she'd been watching all day. And so did their easy teamwork, that needs pretty much no planning at this point.

Oh, show!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I should have recorded Earl and The Office last night but forgot.

It's cold here and I should have some hot chocolate or something.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

It snowed!

It snowed for less than an hour, then it stopped, but still! Snow!

Mac gets to see snow!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Tom, what a pretty photo. Snow is always fun! Except when you have endless days of it then not so much.

I am chilly this AM. Getting ready to go to breakfast. I need to figure out what, except for yoga, i'm doing today.

What is even happening?

Cashmere, for some reason, NBC is offering a producer's cut of last night's episode of The Office.

You can find it here: [link]

I'm reading that they only keep those online a couple of days. I haven't checked to see if Earl is online. I woke up to an e-mail from someone here, telling me I had to see it, and then Scott spoiled me for it, because it made him think of recent stories I'd told him.

Snow, pretty. We don't even have a real dusting of it yet. Maybe today.

Thanks for the link, Cindy.

What is even happening?

I've been ff-ing through it, just to see how much they added (or rather, what was there before they edited). So funny

The Office, Producer's Cut spoilers:

I'm loving Jim, for trying to gently steer Michael toward the truth about Andy. And Michael's talking-head scene about kissing butt is killing me.
