Sean, you eat moldy rice in tubes. I don't trust your food sense.

Pffft. That's so three years ago. I can cook now.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Ha! As I was typing that I was thinking, huh, guerre, is war in French, isn't it? And yet, I still think gorilla when I think guerrilla, which is just lame of me.

You now have me visualizing Monseur Mallah with his beret and assault rifle fighting for le Resistance.

It's also good to remember that they have very limited palates at that age.

I recall that as a gradeschool child broccoli, potatoes, and squash all tasted awful to me (thank goodness for corn and tomatoes!). It was quite a revelation to try them in my late teens and find out that my taste buds had changed and now they were of the yum.

Brussel sprouts and green beans? Still taste like ass.

I hope today is better than yesterday. In addition to the sucky medical news, I got a faceful of pointless and redundant healthy eating lecturing from Mom and another relative (I eat way healthier than bacon-and-dessert-loving Mom; vegan cousin unsurprisingly thinks avoiding animal products solves everything) and Marketing shaved three days off my deadline next week while requesting major last minute changes and turning a crack editorial team into panicked Chicken Little impersonators.

It's snoooooooowing! So happy. On Monday, we were playing outside in t-shirts. But now it's snoooooowing! Casper wanted to make a snowman. Um, it's only about half an inch of snow.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Casper wanted to make a snowman. Um, it's only about half an inch of snow.

A very small snowman, perhaps?

It's SNOOOOOOOOOWING!!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Teeny tiny snowman!

Hope Lee feels better.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Special for bon bon: I'm now going to be late for work because Roger Clark is walking on the model NYC at the Queens Museum. Hilarious!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Just think, Allyson--the next time we get a massive flood of newbies, they might very well be your fans.

Between this and DRIVE, we may have a very busy mid-to-late 2007 here at b.org. Seriously good news Allyson. I keep checking Amazon to see when they put it in for pre-order. I'm already trying to decide who it might make a good gift for (as I did with LOST IN THE GROOVES).

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Oy. At the office until 7 last night, and gotta run back out the door now. There's no way this report is going to be ready to go next Friday. Argh.

I'm doing my best, but when some of the writers apparently learned to do their analysis by watching Scoobie-Doo, well...

Congratulations on the flat, Kevin!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Oh! I wasn't going to admit this yet. I wanted to wait until I had some more evidence. But I've been doing the smaller plate thing, and it is totally working for me! I gave myself no rules, no restrictions, no calorie counting. I just use a smaller plate.

I've been doing this too and it really does work. My new thing is trying to draw my eating time out more. I come from a family of food bolters, as does Tom, so I figure it can't hurt to try to retrain myself to eat slower. My nutritionist suggested using a timer and then incrementally increasing the number of minutes.
