What is even happening?

Okay. So. tommy, your post #3323 was much more I-can't-unthink-that than the explanation of the term in question. I'd have forever respected white font on that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OMG, I just got a "preemptive strike" call from a remote coworker who reported to now-former coworker to see if maybe she could report to me, since our boss mentioned my name to her more than once in seemingly-random conversation. This place is about to get way weirder.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Sorry.

That's right! Put on your shirt of shame and do the dance of shame.

Now with extra shame!

I'm more annoyed that they named one after Reagan. At least Ford and George H.W. Bush served in the Navy during WWII.

Also, Carter got a submarine named after him. Yes, he was a former submariner.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I can't even bring myself to look.
I'm wishing I hadn't.

Namor?

In tech news, we have a nano breakthrough in computer tech.

San Francisco - Hewlett-Packard on Tuesday said it has invented a revolutionary computer chip that uses nanotechnology to achieve a significant performance boost.

Researchers at the world's largest computer maker said the new approach can allow an eightfold increase in the number of transistors that can be squeezed onto a variety of programmable chips, while bringing savings in energy consumption.

The new technology works by using a grid of nanowires to connect conventional integrated circuits chips known as FPGAs, or field programmable gate arrays, the Silicon Valley company said in a statement.

Not only does the new technology promise to increase speed, but according to HP it should also be possible to manufacture the new chips in existing factories - a key advantage over current improvements which rely on reducing the size of transistors and which need new fabrication facilities for each new chip generation.
