Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay Pats! I left the game in the middle, but had been watching with SD fans, so I kind of wish I had been there for the win, but am really just as glad I had dinner with my cousin and her husband. Is he my cousin, too? I guess so, kinda.

Say, anybody remember the conversation we had about elementary school teachers who tell their students that you "can't" subtract a bigger number from a smaller one, and how betrayed some people felt by that?

Me! Me!!!

The textbook we're using tells me that "Negative numbers have no square roots." Now, eighth graders don't need to know about imaginary numbers -- they're certainly not going to see them this year, and maybe not ever. But to completely deny them like that... for shame, McDougal Littell!

ARGH. Seriously, if there's one thing kids should be used to hearing, isn't it "You'll understand when you're older"??

I have basically been eating since 2pm and am now mad full.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

24:

Siddig!

Damn, I totally did not recognize him until I read the name here.

Also, Vampire!Jack was awesome.

Art Crawl!!!

I LOVED Vampire!Jack - it's like he went feral while he was in China. Also, perhaps we could call him LostBoy!Jack.

FAQWife just noted that after Jack vamped out, he escaped through the sewers. Hmmmm.... makes you think...

Plus, because Buffy references must come in threes, we have Jesse working at CTU.

Did Fury write this one?

Howard Gordon wrote the first part. With the AWESOME Hannibal Lecter moment.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Aw. My parents just called me to say they had to put their dog to sleep.

That's so sad, Lee.

I came in here to post non-sad news which is that I'm watching the news after 24 and they were live from some viewing party in Woodland Hills and the reporter mentioned that, before they arrived, one of the show's executive producers happened to stop by the party (they said it was a coincidence and he didn't know there was a viewing party going on)... it was Fury.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh Lee, I am sorry.

This...
Siddig! and he's smokin' hot!
and this were the highlights of 24 tonight. Not complaining... Forgot exactly how much suspension of disbelief I needed but levels have now been readjusted.
