I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Madness, but it works for me, so I'll take it.

There is a swimsuit shop open year round here. I've just never shopped there.

In fact, all your decorating sounds gorgeous. You should take photos.

Thank you! When I put the effort forth, I really enjoy the space. I must admit, it is kind of cluttered for the space I have. But really, I like cluttered "interesting" from different parts of the world and cultures. The two pictures I framed ( a small watercolor from Cuzco, Peru of two women in native dress, and a something of a black cat on white plaster steps against a vibrant blue wall- it's very Mediterranean) are tacked up next to one of red and brilliant yellow tree frogs on a vibrant green (a local to parents acquisition.)

On the adjacent wall are the pictures of my paternal grandparents' wedding and my maternal grandfather at 21 (in 1922) and the red and orange hanukah candles in the v-vase.

I do have some photos, which I'll upload eventually. The ones that leave out the piles of random paper on my table and the litterbox.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a sudden and pretty inexplicable longing for Jamaican soda.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just realized that the only things I've had to eat today are coffee with milk, a lean pocket, and a frozen frappachino bar.

I hope my salad and pizza get here soon.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I have a sudden and pretty inexplicable longing for Jamaican soda.

What kind?

I had yummy Indian food tonight, with very good company.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just got back from dinner with some Chicago-istas (Tommyrot, Shrift, Aurelia, and Miriam), and (I think) a great time was had by all! I managed to get a parking spot two doors down from the restaurant (on Devon on a Saturday night, this is quite the feat!). Even better for me was that I did soooo well in terms of what I ate--I did splurge on the garlic naan and ate way too much of that, but for the entree I only had a bowl of mulligatawney soup. Yay, me!!

Now, I just have to change into my sweats and work out tonight.

Edited to wave at aurelia--thanks again for organizing the dinner!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Thanks, Betsy! When I get my life back in order (went to see a condo today and the guy damn near offered to trade the condo for my house), let's get together!

The weird thing is that it's not really specific. Ting or Kola Champagne, mostly. Pineapple D&G will do in a pinch.

My current finger splint is about to give up the ghost. I will miss it--I haven't found the same style in my pharmacy hunt yet.

hip deep in pie

Wish me house-ma. I'm going to look at a little house in a great neighbourhood tomorrow. It seems to be decorated in little old lady right now, but I am hoping it will be a good fit for me.
