You know, I just... I woke up, and I looked in the mirror, and I thought, hey, what's with all the sin? I need to change. I'm... I'm dirty. I'm, I'm bad with the... sex and the envy and that, that loud music us kids listen to nowadays.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Allyson, I adore both sets you linked to. I used to have one a lot like those, and I nearly wept when it had faded and frayed to the point that it looked like I'd pulled it out of a Goodwill dumpster and I had to get rid of it.

Oh! I forgot to share this photo of the dawn's light in my bedroom that I took with the new (bargain basement) camera phone.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Kathy, you still around? I got your message but could only understand about every fourth word.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

ChiKat, it was probably about the Chi'istas getting together for Indian food. The info is upthread. I'll link you in a minute.

OK, so there's this guy at one of the universities here billed as a civility expert. Whenever I hear him talk, or even hear him mentioned, my first response is "Oh can it, you sanctimonious prick."

And I'm a really polite person!

Ah! Just got off the phone with Kathy and that is why she called. I'm on the email list, so I don't know why I haven't been getting the emails.

I may or may not be able to make it. I've got stuff to do in the city all day tomorrow and don't know if I'll be up for staying out late.

My first week has gone well, except for the whole having to get up early thing. My body still wants to stay up till 2-ish, so I've only been getting 3-5 hours of sleep per night. I need more than that to be happy.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You know, I'm looking at JetBlue fares, and it looks damn tempting...
