ita, I want all of those things for you too.

I am supposed to go to Vegas to tomorrow to see my mother. Given the death hold that The Sick has on me, I'm kind of unthrilled at the thought.

And, let's be honest, I kind of hate Vegas. Even if I didn't have The Sick, I still would be enh about going. But I'm sick and I wanna see my mommy.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

today was his first day at afterschool and as his grandma was dropping him off there was screaming and crying. He was a little on edge tonight because of that stress, so going to bed had it's own issues. I bought him spiderman socks though. We had a whole discussion last night about sleep being scary and monsters in the basement and monsters at his windows and we decided that mommy and spiderman and superman and batman can beat up monsters and they keep the far far away.

Speaking of pretty boys, Travis Schuldt has really beefed up since the last season of Scrubs. And the writers are taking full advantage of that fact, bless 'em.

Liese, don't feel alone. Barring a lottery win I'm continental US-bound right along with you.

stressy stress... poor mac.

But it must be exciting to see him acquire language. how is he liking school, excluding afterschool?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I kind of hate Vegas.

The words are English, and yet....

there is no world or definition in which ita=baby. I hope tomorrow is better for you.

I'm currently watching the OC, taping CSI (why do I bother? I don't know,) taping tomorrow's GA and watching Ghost Whisperer (because no need to commit that to tape) AND I was watching This Old House during commercial breaks of Ugly Betty.

The shows are slightly different, but my evening will be the same.

I stopped at safeway on the way home, and they were having a buy one get one free sale on microwave popcorn.

Poor Mac, but awww.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Well, Matt, good to know I'm in good company, anyway.

Poor mac! Such a whirlwind of changes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

We had a whole discussion last night

That's really cool. I'm with Kat on the excitement of language acquisition.

Turns out that the cable listing problem ISN'T solved. My head hurts and I'm tired and I just shut down Skype because my father logged in, so now I feel like a lousy daughter on top of everything.

I hate self pity. I just don't know where its off button is.

I'm sick and I wanna see my mommy

I totally hear you. Even though I'm avoiding my parents right now. I hope the travelling is as trauma-free as possible, and the parental time as rewarding as you could desire.

Well, parental time in Vegas =/= rewarding. Instead, it's me watching my mother gamble my inheritance (pittance that it is) away and her shoving bills in my hand so that I'll go play slots or some such nonsense. So not rewarding, but potentially renumerative.

I'd be more amped about going if I could breathe clearly.

That sounds like an excellent plan. I wish I could arm you with supermom fear-conquering weapons, but I think that's something moms just earn and learn.

I'm sick and I wanna see my mommy

I so know this. Even as me sick + mommy equals me=bitch from hell. I hope it ends up optimally.

Also? Some times are NOT the times to converse with the parents. That doesn't make us bad kids, it makes us normal. I mean, hell, I kicked my parents out of their own house on Xmas day because they were making me insane! And they held no grudge. Just laughed at me, but I can live with that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

and we decided that mommy and spiderman and superman and batman can beat up monsters and they keep the far far away.

Aw.

Kat, take your mother's money and go sit in a steam room and/or sauna. Everyone wins!
