Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Definitely do the interview for practice, and then see what happens.

Is it "(I wanna) Sex You Up"?

It is not -- it's "All 4 Love." (Or something like that.)

The Top Chef whitefont kills me, but going to bed was totally worth it.

What is even happening?

Kalshane, put me in the go-interview corner. As you say, you don't have to take it, but if you decide you want it, you've taken the step, and it's good practice.

flea is right about commuting, but on the other hand, I know sometimes dh enjoyed his train commute, because the time between home and work (and work and home) gave him a chance to decompress. Being a parent is wonderful, but it eats up lots of your you-time. Now granted, being on a train with a train full of commuters isn't exactly alone-time, but it's something.

Are the hours of this potential new job more standard?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hey, wait a minute, it's winter!

When did that happen?

Sometimes winter is a shock But in January, in this hemisphere, in a northern climes, I guess one should expect it.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Oh, god, I hate Keanu. Just remembered which one that was. I enjoyed Point Break but deleted it off the machine without a second though.

Point Break is best viewed with the sound off, at which point Teh Gay ratchets way way WAY the hell up, surpassing even some episodes of Smallville in HoYay.

shrift, i will fight you for Saracen, though when I lose, someone please give me a Coach Taylor of my very own.

I'd take Coach and Mrs. Coach, too.

I need opinions on this coat. Is this a look I could pull off?

I like it, Aurelia! Somebody clearly needs to wear that coat. It'd probably drag on the ground if I tried to wear it, so it can't be me.

What is even happening?

I imagine it's just hard to get used to sudden-winter, in January. This past weekend, it was 70ish degrees in Boston. We'd had a dusting of snow right before the New Year that actually meant we had to clean the steps, and clean off the cars. We'd maybe had one mini-dusting (the put your windshield wipers on once, sort), but winter never really set in.

In one way, it is nice, and we haven't been freezing our tushies off, but it feels so wrong. The grass is still mostly green, like it is in early October. We haven't had to mow it, but...almost. I think the New Yorkers have had it even milder than we have. As much as winter can be a pain, I really don't like this winterless winter. It feels so off.

aurelia, that coat should be yours.

I was hoping we were heading toward winter yesterday when the temperature actually stayed below freezing for the day. But, noooo, I get up this morning and it's 36 degrees. They say snow on Sunday, but I'll believe it when I see it.

What is even happening?

I haven't watched the forecast, but today's the first day it's felt to me like we might get some snow. The air has that particular bite.

I think Nicole has been bogarting all the snow.

edited to go off on a totally different track...

Has anyone else here watched The Knights of Prosperity?

What did you think?
