Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have to track down references! Is one really supposed to be in contact with people from their penultimate jobs? Because my last employer doesn't allow references. Just verification of employment.

I'm sure the references I used to get my last job--well, half of them don't remember me by now.

And I'm not her anymore.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Apparently Vince looks less puffy and zombified from a distance! Who knew?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think the lamp was the problem.

Oh DEAR.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

"The lamp was the problem. I know this because the new bulb exploded, the lamp made a sound like a blender, fire shot out of the switch, embers fell to the floor, and smoke filled the room."

Heh.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Can't bear to watch Bush speak. Going to bed. Will deal with state of union later.

Art Crawl!!!

Poor Zenkitty. Doesn't even realize that the actual State of the Union speech is not happening.

I think I should just switch to a Top Chef repeat. I have the president on but I couldn't tell you wtf he is saying.

Oh and FNL? Made me cry again. Damn that show!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Can't bear to watch Bush speak.

Watching Deadwood instead. If I'm going to spend an evening yelling "fucking cocksucker" at the TV, I might as well be having fun doing it.

Because books.

Aw. I loved the Munsters, and especially Yvonne DeCarlo.

I'm watching the premiere of The Sopranos on A&E, and I'm really surprised that I'm a) not missing the profanity, and b) not sure where they're cutting it.

Huh. I wonder why I rented Diplomatic Siege. It's been sitting here forever, and watching the first half hour isn't ringing any bells. Peter Weller, Daryl Hannah and Tom Berenger? I better get my ass to IMDB.

I know why I put Hustle & Flow and Infernal Affairs 2 in my queue. Not sure why I can't bring myself to watch them.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Also in the Ignoring Bush corner here, even if there's no way my ostrich act would have any effect whatsoever aside from lowering my blood pressure.
