The Crying of Natter 49
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Unless it's mint tea, I like it unsweet and milkless.
Cooking tonight turned out rather less yummy than I'd hoped. Steak, zucchini and water chestnuts sauteed in soy sauce and lemon juice turned out more like a too-sour stew than the Asian stir fry I was shooting for. And there's enough left for tomorrow. sigh.
Black Tea with milk and sugar. Other teas plain, or with sugar or honey.
I got a call from a placement firm today. Interview tomorrow afternoon at 3. Not a job, but a step in the right direction at least. Too bad it's in the Loop (they're based on the city, but do placement throughout the Chicagoland area); I absolutely hate driving in the city and as a dedicated suburbanite, the CTA frightens and confuses me. Some interview~ma and not-getting-killed-by-crazy-Chicago-drivers~ma would be appreciated tomorrow.
You know your fandom has changed you when the cop is giving his last pissy little speech and you're thinking Go anaphylaxis! Choose Anaphylaxis. But they didn't. It would also be darkly comic if he ended up being the one of their patients with lupus.
Is the dark, that wasn't pink, the natural color?
yep. the dark is the natural color. I could also just cut all of the pink out, but I've been enjoying wearing my hair in a braid. That will happen, I'm sure, in June or so.
Bwah, erika! That last bit cracked me up.
And I completely agree with you: That case seemed like bullshit from the get-go. It was a vendetta, plain and simple. I've missed some episodes, and boy did I miss House. The twist at the end of tonight's was so good.
ROOIBOS!
I only put milk/cream in some of the black teas. Cheerfully in chai, of course. For mental medicine sweet milky orange pekoe (the cheapy sort is best) cannot be beaten. Never in herbal or green or white teas. Seems off to me.
One of the most disgusting tea-related drinks I've ever had was the Coffee Bean green tea iced latte. God, I like iced tea lattes and I like green tea, but that was teh nast.
Never lemon, and these days rarely honey. I don't sweeten much, period, and never if I'm not putting in (heavy whipping, as is my wont) cream.
Shit. I totally thought I was up to picking up my prescription. No, I was just misled by a moment's ease during that phone convo.
Yeah, Aileann, while it is true that the probable cause involving drug cases can involve some fancy footwork, because police don't usually see behavior that conforms to the strictest legal definition, Tritter is the Savion Glover of law enforcement.
House could probably sue for malicious prosecution. And, bastard or not, acclaimed life-saving doctor? He'd probably win.
Hmm. reading tru all that made me realizes that although I generally take my tea plain... I generally will do tea whichever way it comes.
Kat, should you decide in favor of pink, Manic Panic, despite the name, is nice and wholesome and pretty thoroughly fetus-benign. Or, if you go non-pink, I used Tints of Nature to kill the gray all through my pregnancy.
Sure to be a very late cross-post, as it took me 25 minutes to type this. Matilda's been weeping every time I set her down today, and I just now had to soothe her out of another meltdown. Fortunately for her, when she's being held she is cooing and snuzzly and utterly adorable.
Heh, did I ever tell the story about my sis getting hit on while driving - and not by someone in the car?
Newp! I swear, getting weird commentary from paused-alongside-cars is my single greatest argument about quitting the nic, somedays.
I totally get the rationale and logistics and all that reality, but I really like Kat's pink streaks. So there. I can't do pink, or really any other shade but blonde with my current box o'dye, so I envy it.
Aaaand y'all have completely made me NOT want tea.
t not really here, just checking email for a confirmation
