Congratulations, amych! Yay grad school!
Hivemind: Pinched nerve in neck -- ice or heat? I stepped into the shower just fine and stepped out unable to turn my head to the left without tingling, nasty nerve pain.
Oh, lovely hot shower, why hast thou forsaken me?
We've taken to you so strong!
it's clear we're going to get along!
Wow. I'm so bored that I think I'm going to spend an hour trying to figure out how to work the scanner. Just as soon as I imbibe more caffeine.
It seems to me that newfan (Bronzer; physical therapist) told me not to ice my neck, if I was pretty sure it was a pinched nerve. I don't suppose you have a cervical collar, handy? Those help the most. They stretch everything back out.
I am sending nasty eyebeams to your shower, though. That ain't right. Did you have to reach high to adjust the shower, or do something wonky when you were rinsing your hair or something?
Congrats, amych!
So while I'm waiting for my ex-boss to get back to me on whether my resume is up to snuff for current standards or not, do I sit on it, or do I send out my possibly crappy resume? I worry that doing the latter is going to turn off some potential employers. But on the other hand, I wonder what opportunities I might miss out on by sitting on my duff while I wait.
AmyLiz, I'd say heat. Cold is for inflammation and swelling (to reduce it).
Shrift, it's your fault that I'm now downloading Ok Go.
Ack! Oliver earworm!
I don't have a cervical collar, Cindy. I have some of that Icy Heat cream, though.
I don't know what I did, either. A pinched nerve isn't worth it unless you've been indulging in contortions of the most pleasurable kind.
Which I wasn't. Alone. In the shower.
