Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

CR top-ranked upright is Kenmore Progressive with Direct Drive 35922, for about $300

I bought this one right before Christmas and with sales and an extra 10% off, it was $200. I love this vacuum. It tells you when there's no more dirt left to suck up. The first time I used it, the carpet looked like it did they day we moved in. It's very quiet, and perfect for allergies since it also uses a HEPA bag. I will never buy another. Me + the Kenmore = OTP.

Dyson? What Dyson?

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Hey bon bon! Would you use your CR powers for good for me? I have some questions.

Go for it.

All this vacuum talk reminded me that dad and I finally figured out what the roomba reminds us of : horseshoe crab.

Of course, I now want to attach a tail to it.

Hey, Dana! If I wanted to sign up for Putting The Sports Back In Sports Night, should I go with tennis or hockey?

Heh. You saw I already signed up, right? I say tennis, since I know more about tennis than hockey and will actually be able to help. But if you have a burning love for hockey, go for it.
