iPhone copy & paste rumors.
You know what I want even more than that? Some sort of external indicator of an event. If I'm not near the phone when it rings or I get a text, there's no way for me to know unless I check the phone everytime I come into the room. annoying. How about just having the Home button glow? Little backlight, is all I'm asking.

That would be a hardware upgrade, as the home button doesn't have any glow to it. But I hear you. I just click the home button. The boot screen tells you if you missed a text or call. NSM on e-mails, but that's ok.
Aside from copy/paste, Safari click to open in new window, I'd like the ability to customize my other alert tones (e-mail, text, voicemail). I'm in an office of iphones. When any of us get a message, we all are checking our phones. I, of course, know it's mine if my hip buzzes. But that doesn't stop others in the office who keep their phone in a purse from complaining when I get a page, and they keep checking their phone.
We shall see if they also took my suggestion for ICE ability when you push the "emergency phone call" button instead of entering a pass code to unlock the phone.
As to my video issue. ffmpegx is still converting. It's kind of funny. the mkv file has format h264/420p/1280x720, and the mp4 file I'm converting it to has the same. I wonder if I just change the suffix of the file to .mp4 if it would read.

yes, I know that. What I want is not to have to pick it up and check it every time I walk away for five minutes.
FFmpegx?
Curious. FFmpegx made a beautiful mp4. Picture was gorgeous. But no audio.
Must have been programmed by a DP.
A decent introduction to all the different video and audio formats can be found here: [link]
I am charging my brand new MacbookPro! Squee!
Haven't decided yet. All my other computers are BtVS vampires, but I've pretty much run out of cool ones.
Have you used Holden, the one Jonathan Woodward played? I always liked him.
