If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Okay, my Outlook has started doing something that's really silly and minor and that I can tell already is going to drive me batshit. I use the preview window, and suddenly this afternoon it's stopped marking emails viewed in the window as read. I checked the Options tab and it looks like it should be marking them properly - and it did, up until today. Anyone got any other ideas?

Anyone got any other ideas?

I'd say close Outlook (and make sure it's not running in the system tray), then try running the Inbox Repair Tool [link] .

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita, if you subscribe to the thread, it does keep track of new messages.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm subscribed to two topics. When I go into controls/my topics it shows my current subscriptions and I can see when I subscribed, how many replies and views there are, and when the last post was. Short of signing up for email notifications, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Der. I see that now. Thanks. So it won't tell me if I have to click or not? Good thing I only care about two topics.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita, the colors change when you have new messages. I think there may be a text indication as well.

I'll look out for that. Though I'm really sure there's no text indication, but I might have missed colour.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita,

take a look at this link:

[link]

Note the one thread that has a different color? That's the one that only has read messages. The other orange colors, those have unread messages.

Note: please do not make fun of my thread subscriptions

I would not mock someone being as helpful as you are. Okay. I should see that different coloured envelope soon.

Is this explained somewhere? I swear I looked in their FAQ.
