Does anyone have any idea why every time I click on a link to a YouTube video, I get "This video is no longer available" message?
I did a bit of searching and you're not alone with the issue. Some recommendations other people have made are:
1. refresh browser
2. stop or uninstall Google Web Accelerator
3. install latest Flash player
4. add &fmt=18 to the end of the youtube url string
Anyone know how I can get Gmail to stop bugging me about the new Tasks feature?
Bugging you as in "check out this feature," or are you asking how to turn Tasks off?
For the first, I dunno, but for the second: on the Settings page, at the top, click on Labs, then scroll down to Tasks and click on Disable, then click on Save Changes.
Bugging you as in "check out this feature,"
This. Every time I log on there's a fucking popup telling me I can find "Tasks" below my Contacts link. I've been dismissing it for almost a week now.
I suspect turning the feature off would disable the popup as well, but I haven't decided yet whether it might be useful or not.
Jessica,
I'm getting that shit too. It just started today.
I'm wondering if I need to disable tasks.
Thanks for the youtube advice! I just had to install the latest Flash player, and now it works perfectly.
This could perhaps be very useful to folks with Windows computers: A Computer Repair Utility Kit You Can Run From a Thumb Drive
Technibble, the Australian site for aspiring computer techies, recently released the second version of its popular Computer Repair Utility Kit, a collection of 57 hand picked tools to help you diagnose and repair your Windows machine.
While all of the utilities are freely available online, this all-in-one kit saves you the trouble of searching for and downloading them individually. Most of the applications don't require installation and the kit can be run directly from your thumb drive.
Although the kit is extremely useful as it offers all of the tools in one neat package, we thought it might be useful to describe each application and rate it based on the level of experience required for use....
I'm on Firefox 2 here at work (can't upgrade, locked down workstation) and want an extension that will let me open mailto links in Gmail. (Default is to open them in Outlook, which I almost never want.)
Will Better Gmail 2 do this, or is there something else I should install?
