Our wings are not tired

I have had good luck with Glyph drives in the past. They are specifically made for audio and video use and can be ordered in rack mount enclosures and similar things. They usually have beefier power supplies than standard drives as well.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The MacBook Air superdrive with only work with the MacBook Air.

Dude, what is the point of that? If you need to burn DVDs, just buy a Macbook Pro!

Thanks for the Glyph rec, ND. I'll check them out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Digital switchover happens in February for some people.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Yeah, here in Eastern Iowa we're going as originally planned. Apparently, it's been determined that this area is close to 98% ready.

I honestly can't think of a much bigger way Congress could have fucked this decision up.

Well, now that I have my box and proper antenna (I HAVE 3 PBS CHANNELS!) , I don't care when. But yeah, kind of a mess.

I have a box, but no TV right now. But, my sister has satellite so I'm good for now.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I have the box hooked up, but I can't record anything so I haven't been using it. Now I watch DVDs on the TV and TV on the computer.

I have a Mac question for anyone who can field it.

I have a late model MacBook Pro running the most recent version of Leopard. I am running into trouble with any website that has Java or Javascript. I keep getting an error message telling me that Java is not installed or enabled.

I reinstalled Safari, reverified the disk and permissions and made sure Java was enabled in the Preferences. I still get the message.

The Apple support discussions are giving me no love.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
