Yeah, I might have a game system problem.
Might?
And Jessica, I hear you on the "just" a couple hundred dollars things. It's a source of contention between ND and me from time to time since we do separate finances and all my "extra" income goes to debt. It's nice having high quality stuff, but I wouldn't have any of this on my own.
and all my "extra" income goes to debt.
Ya, this is what is keeping me from buying it too.
Despite being on unemployment I got a Wii last year, and later the Wii Fit stuff too. I don't regret the expense, though I suppose I could play it more often than I do.
Still, it's the only game system I've ever WANTED to own.
It's Apple Keynote Day!
Hopefully, I'll finally get to buy the Mac Mini I've been wanting the last six months.
It's where I got my tagline from!
Very pretty 2TB external drive, only $270: LaCie Hard Disk MAX, a 2TB drive that's too sexy to be inexpensive
Is hard disk space getting cheap, or what? This minimalist LaCie Hard Disk MAX USB drive can hold 2 terabytes of your favorite files, combining a couple of 1TB drives in a RAID configuration that gives you either formidably fast response with 2TB (RAID 0) or reassuringly redundant security with 1TB (RAID 1). Either way, this shiny, piano-black, under-lit monolith will set you back just $270.
HP Mini 2140 Notebook is tiny, aluminum, gorgeous and cheap
Here's a tiny 2.6-pounder that's almost small enough to be called a netbook. The HP Mini 2140 Notebook PC's 10.1-inch screen is LED backlit, and with its optional 80-gig solid-state drive and small, low-power Intel Atom processor, it's packing all the right tech.
Its keyboard isn't too small, either, it's 92 percent the size of a full size keyboard. And hey, it's made of aluminum, making it super-chic. Surprisingly, at the same time, it's super-cheap, with pricing starting at $499. Available late January.
