Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Presumably, you would have to pay someone to take the computer apart and replace the battery for you.

What about those long trips where you want to swap batteries? That is an objection of mine with iPods and iPhone.

Ya, very cool. But will it charge the new laptops?

The status is NOT quo.

So the rumor is that Apple is going to introduce a new 17" MacBook, except that it won't have a removable battery.

ND is going to be so happy if this is true. He's been holding on to his old 17" laptop a lot longer than usual in hopes that a new version was coming.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Since everyone else in our lives has taken the HDTV plunge, DH and I have decided to throw fiscal caution to the wind and start seriously shopping around.

We're looking for a 32-37" LCD, probably 720p unless there's a 1080p deal to fabulous to pass up. In our favor is retailers desperately needing to get rid of stock before the 2009 models come in. I am confident we can get something on sale.

People with Vizio TVs - are you happy with them? Is it worth paying extra for a Samsung or Toshiba even if we have to go down a size?

Somewhat related:

I can't get to www.jr.com via my home network. I can get there fine using my iPhone's 3G. This seems to be the only site with this problem. What can I do?

I love my Vizio. It's a fine TV.

My mind is all spinny with lcds and I'm only wanting a 26 or whatever inch. Prices vary so much, and I know a lot is based on cable-quality tv, which I don't have. And then there is the issue of if I need a proper antenna for over the air...
