A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I'm trying to seduce her away from IE, and I figure I'll give her all the big choices to try and see what she likes best, like TB said.

The armchair psychologist in me says that this could backfire: "How do I decide among all these choices?! Oh the heck with it -- I'll just stick with what I know!" Give her just one or two options, tops, and she's more likely to make a switch.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She'll probably make the switch to the first thing she tries--she's fairly decided on abandoning IE, but isn't the type to spend too long on multiple browsers.

I am just tickled at the possibility of making a Chrome user, although I'd lay money on Firefox.

brillig

I bought a 4 gig flash drive yesterday for $14. I remember clearly spending $30 for 256 mb. Considering I haven't filled up my current 2 gig drive that I got for Christmas last year, this purchase was more in the nature of "New tech cheap! Must have!" Plus it'll store all my pictures, fic, music, etc. I wonder when CDs will become obsolete.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I think cd's will last longer than floppies. Only because of music. But I think the flash drive was the final nail in the floppy coffin.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone here know Logic Express? I've been forced to RTFM, but it's 1055 pages!

Our wings are not tired

I've used it, and chose to stick with ProTools for most of my work. What are you trying to do?

I was having a midi issue, but I figured it out.

But I have another question - is it possible to have an external USB device for audio input, but still use the built-in headphone jack as the audio out?

I believe you can set that up in the preferences.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I know it's almost Christmas, and I may be too late on this, but: my brother asked for Bose headphones for Christmas. I do not have it in my budget to buy those for him. But I know that there exist products of equal or greater quality for less money and with less marketing. Any suggestions, people who know more about such things?

Our wings are not tired

I have owned a few noise canceling headphones and I actually found this pair of Audio Technica headphones to be better than the Bose Quiet Comfort.

They are also a third of the price.
