S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

So, I have this external hard drive, just a small 60 gig portable. And I set up the file system in Windows, and all the permissions to be open access. When I move it to my Mac, though, it says I only have read access, even though I deliberately set it up so that everyone could read and write. What's going on? Is there a way to change this that doesn't involve wiping the drive, because that is an ass-pain, last-ditch option here. But I need to be able to write to the thing.

Macs can only mount NTFS drives read-only.

This [link] is supposed to provide read-write support, but it's very new, and I don't know of anyone who has experience using it.

Man. I knew I was missing something obvious.

But linux can mount read-write, even though it doesn't like it, right?

What's the ideal mount state for an external drive, to be able to rwx in linux, osx, and windows? FAT32?

FAT32?

Unfortunately, yes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Anyone here good at CSS and doesn't read BBABB++? There a centring-in-IE problem I'm at the end of my rope with.

Why on earth can't the computers just do what I tell them to do in my brain? Sigh.

Hey. New board.

No longer makes sense! I forgot about NTFS.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

ita, I won't have time to check it out until after the weekend, but I may have a clue then -- is that okay, or is it more urgent?

That'd be just fine, amych.

Frustratingly, MacFUSE will not download. Patience running short.
