I use BlazeFTP and have really liked it. It is free as well. It's just another option, I've never used Filezilla, so I have no opinion on it.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Oh were we talking clients? I was thinking of Filezilla as the server, hmmm...

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm looking for an app that generates PNGs on the cheap. Corel Draw is way out of my range.

Well, there's Xara which is CorelDraw like. It's much cheaper than Corel.

I produce my PNGs from GIMP, but, of course, that is just a raster tool.

Maybe I can get this one project done with GIMP...I was trying to use the line features in Photoshop and got completely frustrated--I could have done it in my copy of PaintShop Pro, but that went south in my HD crash, and I can't work out how to get a registered copy reinstalled.

I used Xara back in the day, and loved it, though it was weird. Maybe when I'm working again I'll buy a copy.

Thanks, Gud.

I use Photoshop and Xara. To me, Xara is very user friendly, except for two or three annoying gaps in the tools. I have Fireworks, but it annoys me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

At the time when I used it, Xara was the only thing on the market that handled transparency really slickly, even though all you could do with it was export it to a GIF for interoperability, and that killed all the flexibility.

I now have a bunch of demo softwares--one of them has to be enough for the project.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

no AT&T uverse for me. We only have one grounded outlet in the house. which would mean exposed wires. and an extra charge. The sales person said everything was wireless.

I would have tested all the outlets. I wouldn't have planned to stay home all day .

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Android is here! T-Mobile G1, aka First 'Googlephone,' Carries High Expectations

But it is not just about the hardware. The phone's user interface and its integration with applications are expected to make all the difference.

G1 will have tight integration with Google apps, especially the company's popular services such as Gmail, calendar and instant messaging, says Gartenberg. "So if you are a Google user, this device will fit right into your tech ecosystem," he says.

So I had a Firefox add-on that let me open a window-in-window for links, rather than having to open a new tab or window. I upgraded Firefox without spending time on upgrading add-ons at the same time, and now I can't recall what that one was called. Help?
