A virtual PC for every person. So this is web 2.0, huh? I have to say, it's a nifty idea. Perhaps more durable than a flash drive. Still, it's more comforting to have your data where you can degauss at need.

Office suite (for G.ho.st Drive files): Zoho and ThinkFree
I've never used those - what are they like?
zoho is pretty good -- for the word processing anyway -- I didn't have to lok hard for anything like i did for google docs
My connection is too slow to render g.ho.st useful. I like the idea, though.

Crazy Wiring, Part 5I should take pictures of my new job and submit. It's not all I.T. wiring, but equally harrowing in places.
I got my desktop computer back from MicroCenter and my data is secure! And it works! And so on...
Except that I used to have a 640Gb hard drive partitioned into two equal size drives of ~320Gb... and now I only seem to see one ~320Gb (which shows 288Gb in Windows Explorer, but IIRC that's normal).
My question is... is this something that I can fix here at home, or had I better get on the horn back to MicroCenter and start complaining pronto?

I keep thinking there should be something deep in the Control Panel that will fix it with a couple clicks. But if nobody here knows that offhand (given the Buffista general level of expertise), I KNOW I'm DOOMED to probably have to take the Damnthing back, a day after I got it home again.
