If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah, I pay like 20 cents per, and to go to the package would be an extra $15 a month. Annoying, seeing as I am paying for an unlimited data plan. But texting is such a cash cow they exempt it. Or at least that's my assumption for why the difference.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

If I could, I'd forego a voice plan entirely and just pay for unlimited texts. I'm sure I'd save money (which I'm sure is why it's not an option).

Yeah, there's been some research out there (you know, out there ::handwave:: on the internet) about how the price structure of US SMS plans has kept the technology from being either as popular or as mainstream as it is in the rest of the world.

The whole US cell phone marketplace is insane. When I went to this giant electronics mart/small city outside of Seoul, all the teeny adorable UNLOCKED phones were making me drool with jealousy.

Jessica,

if you have a disability (I'm assuming speech or hearing), you can get unlimited text and data plan. But you have to have certification.

Our wings are not tired

Jilli, easiest way I've found is this:

If you have Garageband installed you can also just pull the track into Garageband, select the 30 second or less section you want, and then choose "Export as Ringtone" and it will be added to the Ringtone section of your iTunes and be loaded onto the phone.

Damn, you know you are working too hard when Drew, ON A BOAT! beats me to the tip of ringtone and Garageband. Pfft.

Um, Vortex, how do you do that thingie to make your own text or voice mail sound on the iPhone??

And a shoutout to Daniel. How goes the data?

(wow, a mini meara in tech thread!)

I didn't know that! Unfortunately, I don't think "reallyreallyreallyreally hates talking on the phone" counts as a medical condition.

You gotta hack the phone. This site gives a good set of directions:

dang. Gotta jailbreak to do it. It's my lifeline, I don't want to piss off Jobs and get an expensive brick.

Completely different question, that I think I know the answer to. I'm in a "shared" office, with a POS computer connected via usb to an HP 1200 printer. Can I put a USB 4 port dude on the printer, so both the POS computer, and I can tap into that printer? or would that be bad, like the voice in the back of my head says?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

No, won't work. You'll have to enable printer sharing on the POS computer.

Hello, gurus.

I have an older laptop that has only one USB port. I have a wireless mouse and a USB drive. If I put a USB hub on the one USB port, will I be able to operate the wireless mouse with its tiny receiver plugged into the hub?
