If they don't blow it, it could be a huge boost.
I don't think it will help much in office use (it might help Novell SLED though), but if Vista is breaking games and making media usage difficult, that really has to make Apple look good for home users.

Offices will just keep using XP or 2000 if Vista doesn't work.
I'm not sure about gamers -- I guess it depends on what has a Mac version out already.
(My office, always at the cutting edge, is currently in the process of upgrading to XP.)
And if you haven't seen it on TV yet, it's on Apple's front page right now.
Okay, WTF??? I followed the link, and instead of the ad, it shows a picture of a phone that links to Get Quicktime.
So I tried to download and install Quciktime, but when I did, it says I already have a newer version of Quicktime than the one the Quicktime website was trying to install.

Serious gamers will stick with Windows, Macs don't lend themselves to hardware tweaking. Maybe they'll stick with XP for awhile though if there are driver problems.
You probably have it installed but not plugged into the browser.
Nevermind, I figured it out. The IE popup and hostile applet blocker was waiting for permission to run the ActiveX control to run the Quicktime video.
Which (though I'm still on XP and not Vista) reminds me of this particular Mac ad: [link]
One of my favorites.
HELP.
I just updated to the latest version of Firefox 1.5, whichever it was, and when I started it up, I got some sort of "Unresponsive Script" error. And then Tab Mix Plus wasn't working; the Session Manager didn't kick in, and I couldn't even see TMP options in the menu. There was a strange error in the Error Console.
I uninstalled and reinstalled TMP, and it didn't help. Same error.
I upgraded to Firefox 2.0, and, still, Unresponsive Script.
The error is many variations of this:
No chrome package registered for chrome://autocopy/skin/autocopy.png .
No chrome package registered for chrome://tabmixplus/skin/tmp.png .
No chrome package registered for chrome://greasemonkey/content/status_on.gif .
I don't know what the hell this means or how to fix it. What the hell is going on?!
Did you install Greasemonkey? Can you remove it?
Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension that allows you to write scripts that alter the web pages you visit.

If you didn't install greasemonkey, I'm not sure how it got there. Maybe it was required for the other stuff? (Tab Mix Plus, Session Manager.) Can you update to a newer version of greasemonkey?
P-C, it sounds to me like you need to nuke it from orbit and start over. Google's not finding anything on those error messages.
Here's some steps to completely uninstall Firefox (and save your profile). [link]
After that, reinstall Firefox, restore your profile, reinstall your extensions and see how it goes. TMP says it plays nice with everything up to Firefox 3.0a1.
