what everyone else said about changing AVG scan time, but like them i can't check until i get home. i know it took me a little bit to find where they'd hidden it though! sneaky buggers.
oh and i'll add my chorus to those who love their Toshiba notebooks. i've had my Sattelite for a few months now and pretty much love it. don't ever, for the love of GOD(!!!!), buy an HP. i had mine for less than a year and had to send it in five times(!!!) for repairs. it was pretty much the same thing every time. either the wireless card getting "lost" or the screen becoming dark and eventually just completely black.
Yeah, I'm on my third Toshiba. I had the first 2 for about 5 years each.
I'm on my second (bought in 06). Though AFAIK the first (from 02) is still running - my sister uses it but since she hasn't had internets for a few months it's basically a paperweight.
I have an eMachine from 1999 installed in a little theatre that's still running.
I have a couple of 1998 computers I gave relatives and are still running fine, one is a Gateway and one is a Micron. Lots of extra memory stuffed into them though. I had a 1998 Power Mac G3, that was perfectly good but I just didn't have any use for it.
brenda, in AVG go to Tools-->Advanced Settings, then in the left pane expand Schedules and click on Scheduled Scan.
Hmmm. I have no Tools menu to go to. I was able to reschedule the daily update check through Services and then found a Scheduler tab (in Test Center,
not
Control Center as I would have assumed.) Hopefully this will take care of it. Thanks all!
So Drew and I decided to spoil each other for our upcoming 3rd anniversary...by buying each other shiny new iPhones! We waited in line all day (I am not exaggerating), but I am loving my new phone. If we had realized we would be in line all day, we wouldn't have bothered...but there comes a point a few hours in where you're damned if you're going to back out now, you know?
As a friend said recently, toys make stress easier to deal with.

This is basically how I accumulated a complete set of MTG revised edition cards.
