Our wings are not tired

I've purchased at least half a dozen, if not closer to a dozen refurbed Mac systems over the years. Desktops, iMacs, iBooks, and Powerbooks. They've always arrived in as new condition with the current OS installed and in as new packaging. They've run for years for me. One of my rental machines is a 17" reconditions Intel iMac and it's worked flawlessly for a year now.

I bought a refurbed MacBook Pro on Drew's rec, and am blissfully happy with it.

It was a long restore for me too. Twenty minutes or so.

If I install Firefox, do I have to uninstall IE? Windows gets very huffy if it doesn't have IE to hide behind.

Dumbass question: anyone have experience with apple's refurbed merch?
My iMac is a refurb. I'm trying to talk new job into getting refurb mac laptop, as it will save lots of money. If you have hesitations, go for the Apple Service Plan. If your getting a laptop, it's not a bad idea either way.

About to take plunge and plug in iPhone. Should be OK by now.

I'm going to give it until Monday. I expect that the drama will have dialed down by then.

Connie, no. I keep both for the random site that doesn't like Firefox.

non- iPhone question. I know many of you have Skype. I have the free version for skype-to-skype talking. But new area is wanting local number for gate access and stuff. Does anyone have the thing that gives you a local number? what's it called? How much? The site is kinda vague about it, and my net connection is flakey right now (borrowing wi-fi from neighbor), so their pages are taking FOREVER to load.

The status is NOT quo.

Dear Techy BF,

Please to buy your loving GF a new iPhone. She's been very, very good and would really like to replace her screwed up BlackBerry.

Kisses,
Your Favorite GF EVAH
