Hi. Has the iPhone 3G convo been had here (or elsewhere)?
I did a bit of skimming but saw nada. I'm interested in people's thoughts, suggestions for alternatives, etc.
Matters are complicated for Canuckians in that there is only one GSM provider here, and Apple won't be selling the phone -- you have to get it with a data package from the GSM provider. Said provider wanted $60 per month for the basic "unlimited" 6Gb data package, but under public pressure has reduced that to $30 a month.
It belongs here -- we just haven't discussed it much since the keynote watch-n-post. Speaking for myself, I'm sorely tempted, but I'm not due for a handset upgrade on my non-iPhone AT&T contract until the winter, so I'm holding off until then rather than paying the non-subsidy price.
Also, HI!! It's been way too long since we've happened through the same thread!

(Hi Amy, too long indeed!)
I think I am braindead.
Anyway, in Javascript, how would you set the value of a date object to the value of another date object? I mean, besides using getYear(), getMonth() and getDate() on one date object and then using setYear(), setMonth() and setDate() on the other - there must be a simpler way, huh?
So, my Mac upgraded to the new iTunes today, and I noticed the Applications tab. So I'm upgrading my iPhone to the new software as I type...
I wonder if any of these applications are any good.
The two apps I most wanted, a password keeper and an ssh client, haven't shown up.
ssh client
might make me give up full-sized computers altogether
Can you use a bluetooth keyboard with an iPhone?
I doubt it, tommyrot. Although I await to be proved wrong.
Anybody can develop apps for the iPhone, so I presume an SSH client will show up sooner or later.
The 2.0 firmware download is kicking around on appleinsider.com if anybody wants it, by the way.
On the other hand, they have Canfield, which is the One True Solitaire. My subway rides just got slightly less hellish.
