unusual question here for y'all. I tried a different cassette adapter for the car (seems I had several of them around). The latest one SOUNDS great, but it keeps ejecting, probably due to no gears that turn, and the deck thinks it's a jammed tape. But it's the only of the 3 that I have that actually SOUNDS good, the others sound as bad as the FM transmitter. Any thoughts that won't damage the car cassette deck? It's a long shot, but the hive mind is brilliant, so why not ask, right?

does your stereo automatically switch the tape to the other side? If so, turn off that option, and that might solve your problem.

This month is killing me. Snapped the earpiece off of my wireless headset for my cellphone. I had a Jawbone, and it worked passably well (not the magic they predicted, but definitely better than the technology that had gone before). Any recommendations in a similar form factor Bluetooth headset with noise reduction for about $80?

Here's an oddball question for this thread: I need to get some good decible-reducing earplugs. Ones that will lessen the goth club volume levels around me, but not make things so muffled that I will need to take an earplug out to hold a conversation with someone I'm sitting next to. I know I've done damage to my hearing over the years, and since I'm not giving up going out dancing any time soon, I'd like to stave off more damage.
(Drew, I'm especially hoping you'll have some suggestions.)
