Mal: Well, you were right about this being a bad idea. Zoe: Thanks for sayin', sir.

find a narrow straw. Stick it over the headphone jack with some gum (making sure the jack is not blocked by the gum). Then suck on the straw.

How very MacGuyver!

That's a tough one, I'd think you'd need a pretty strong magnet to pull out a plug that's snapped in.

The only thing I can think of off hand would be to use a very tiny drill bit to drill into it and hopefully get it stuck on the bit so you pull it out. Even if it doesn't get stuck you might be able to get a slightly larger bit, tap it into the drill hole to get it stuck and then pull it out. That assumes a drill, and some tiny bits though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a painful visit to Fryes in my future. I need a phone and an extra handset, a hub, and I've just discovered my take everywhere camera (Powershot SD400) is broken front and back.

Anyone have a suggestion a small and durable camera I can toss into my purse without needing a hard-sided case?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If you were skilled in soldering you could solder a thin wire to the plug and pull it out.

On hold w/ Applecare now. They suggested tweezers, which I already tried. Maybe I just need better tweezers.

Oh, nice, Gud! If that one feels good in the hand and passes the purse test, it's a serious contender.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Jessica-

It is probably not possible for you to get your hands on tissue forceps or a hemostat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemostat) is it? I think they would work, but I only have access because I am in a school of Nursing

Hee! Sophia, if I can't get this sorted out on my own, I'll ask my mom to snag me a pair from the hospital she works at.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Glad to see Gudanov helped MM. I was going to suggest using WordpressMU because it allows having multiple blogs in the single MySQL database.

ita ... why on earth are you fooling around with Vista? It is utter, utter, utter crap! If you want to fool around with a new OS, try Ubuntu 8.04. Seriously.
