oh NO! I killed the thread. SORRY! Yikes!
um. LOOK! Something shiny! Over there! um. somewhere. d'oh!
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

Nah, the tech thread never dies.

Hey are there other better free blogging outfits out there besides blogger? Something that would be relativey easy to use and would require minimal coding knowledge.
I don't know.

See?
What defines better? What are blogger's perceived shortcomings?
So I'm finally getting around to trying to get the damn headphone jack out of my Mac.
Tom, you said to see if it's accessible from the inside. It's not, really, but it might be if I could take the fan out. Is this doable? (I tried gently pulling on it to see if it would just slide out, but no luck. If there's a latch or something it's not immediately apparent.)
If it were me, I wouldn't try anything unless it were really, really, obvious. Otherwise, I would let a professional deal with it.
Ugh. I really don't want to lug this thing to the Apple store for something this stupid. All the bright ideas I can find on the internet are about laptops.
A magnet?
Is that wise when the jack is so close to the hard drives?
A magnet?
I was thinking that. It'd have to not be near the HD, and pro'lly not near the optical drive too (to prevent magnetizing moving parts in the optical drive).
Or maybe... a centrifuge!

Perhaps the intertubes have data on how close you can get to a drive with a magnet.
Did a headphone plug break off in the jack?
