Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

No, I don't. How do you think that might affect things?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I wonder if it knows I have another NBC, is all. If not, then it mightn't work. I don't use it that often, but I'm curious. I need a test.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I delete the duplicate channels. It's annoying when you're seeing "all episodes" of a show, and you figure out that it's not on 4 times, it's on twice on multiple channels.

But if you delete the non-HD channel, then you'd only ever be watching (and the TiVo would only ever think you have) the one NBC. So you're watching NBC-HD, the green thumbs-up appears, you press the green thumbs-up on the remote, and something on NBC-HD gets recorded later. Why mightn't that work?

Because if I'm watching NBC-HD and hit the green thumb remote it currently doesn't record on NBC-HD. Hopefully it's first come first serve.

Time Warner ships with a great deal of duplication. Makes them look like they're providing a great deal more channels than they are. Time for some spring cleaning and some experimentation.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Daniel, several themes on that page have the disappearing scroll bar issue.

Well, that stinks. Sorry about that.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Yep. It appears to be a known issue w/ third-party themes. I just wish the default weren't so freaking dark. I don't mind the graphical elements so much, but black text on a dark grey background is just unreadable.

Aha! I would assume that if you delete the other NBCs, it'll record the station you're watching, but we know what happens when you assume...

It's odd. I don't have any problems with it being that dark. My default is a gray, graduated to light gray at the top, and the black text looks fine.

Are you on Leopard or could your monitor be set a bit dark?

I'm on tiger and my monitor is set to pretty much "normal".

I'm on Tiger and haven't changed my monitor settings in ages. Everything else looks perfectly normal.
