You might also try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.0 -- the first two signify the local network, but I've seen the last two vary from one router manufacturer to another.

Is it a web-based thingie to show/edit settings? Then try "http://192.168.0.1" (or whatever the IP address is)

I have a feeling I'm missing something really obvious here. The linksys is on, I'm connected to the internet via an ethernet cable for the moment (since the linksys isn't responding), yet when I try any of those addresses, it gives me a server not responding message.
ETA: It automatically assigns the http in front. Is that the problem? How can I make it not do that?

You need to be connected by cable to the linksys to get to the admin thingie (admin thingies generally often won't work with wireless, at least by default)

What kind of computer is it? (If you find the computer's local IP address, you should be able to figure out the IP address of the router.)

You can enable wireless admin on most routers. But by default, yeah, you only get admin via Ethernet.
