Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Right now I'm agreeing. Flash seems to have a huge penetration in terms of quick media clips, as well as web site applications.

Hmm - I'm fine with flash for media clips, and really any type of animation. But am I the only one who hates, hates, hates flash as the driving force for a web site, hates it as the driver for non-animated menus, hates it as the presenter of text.

Actually let me be fair: I don't hate flash for having those capabilities. I hate the web designers for using misusing them.

OK - here is a company who is making a product I think will help save the world if someone adapts it. But am I wrong in think this flash based website really sucks, in part because it misuses flash?

(I also think it is a mistake to open only with a menu, and not present some sort of default content.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In the first 8 months, iPhone has garnered 28 percent market share

28% market share of what? Of cell phones? Because I find that really hard to believe.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Crap. They're trying to make me want one, aren't they?

I am protected only by the fact that I (a) already have a Touch and (b) have resolved not to shop in 2008.

But if an unfortunate "accident" should befall my Treo...well...I'd be forced to replace it, wouldn't I?

My not-shopping (okay, mostly) is not feeling like enough of a bulwark. Are you saying it would work to buy a Touch in order to keep myself from buying stuff?

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

But if an unfortunate "accident" should befall my Treo...well...I'd be forced to replace it, wouldn't I?

Tell ya what, Jessica, if you were to accidentally drop your Treo into an envelope with $20 and accidentally send it to me, I could accidentally test the envelope for suspicious substances with a hammer then send you the pieces and a profound apology...
