Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

there's also this, which allows you to rip just audio too.

Hey. New board.

I use a program called "TubeSock" to download YouTube vids on my Mac. It will let you convert the files into a format that iTunes/iPods can read as well. Pretty cool.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Raq, if you want to that a lot (rip youtube) and have a pc, any video converter is really good software that will let you batch download and rip.

there is a free version:

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Does anyone have any recommendations for a phone/phone-type device for going on the internet, particularly look at checking email/gmail, and reading here and livejournal?

Also, in order to use the internet with a mobile device, do you pay for it with your phone plan, or do you have to have some other sort of plan for your home which you tap in to.

I am with t-mobile, but not averse to leaving for Verizon. I really like the Blackberry Pearl that is pink and available from verizon, but don't really know if it does any of these things!

Thanks

do you need a keyboard - or can you live without one? judging from my experience shopping for Beau's phone - if you don't HAVE to have a keyboard, you have a lot more options without one.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The only smartphone I know of capable of handling LJ is the iPhone. It's crashed every other mobile browser I know of.

Gmail and B.org do pretty well on almost any internet-capable phone.

I can probably live without LJ... the primary purpose is for me to be able to get my email from the theatre when I am without internet connection , and other web things are really just a perk. I think I can be without a keyboard as well, as they are so small I figure there is a learning curve involved anyway...

Also, I think what I really do want is an iphone, but I can't quite figure out how much the plan could/would/should be? Does anyone know? (the ATT site just seems to say that the phone ships un activated, and you activate it once you get it)

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Lj is a little flaky on my iPhone, although it's usable. My friends page doesn't always render properly, I have to refresh it when that happens. Buffistas works wonderfully, using it now.
