I can't remember what it was called but last year I remember seeing ads for a phone that was just...a phone...with larger buttons for older folks. If I ever get a cell phone, it will probably be one like that.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Hmmm. Daniel. Say I succeed in removing the HD without frying myself, then what happens?

Then you send it to one of us and we try to get your data off of it.

or you can about $15-$20 on an adapter that will let you hook it up to your own computer and pull your data off, if the HDD is in working order. [link]

Or even a hard drive enclosure. and make it a portable hard drive.

The thing is, if the hard drive itself isn't dead, and if it was only the computer that died, you get access to your data.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Hmm, I have a problem with my iPhone. When I plug it into the dock, it charges... but doesn't appear in iTunes under sources. So it won't sync. And I can't do 'Restore' or change any of the options, because it's not there.

The only thing I can think of is that I upgraded to Leopard yesterday. This sucks.

Cheers Tom. I just went through that, got to the last bit - I had to trash iTunes and reinstall it manually. Now it works.

My Mac isn't allowed to misbehave. Oh no. I've had it nearly a year and until that point it always Just Worked.

Hmm. Okay. I'll work on it. The Genius Bar hooked up one of the thingies you linked to. Very cool since I could not get it to start up any other way.
