I'm a vision of hotliness, and how weird is that? Mystical comas. You know, if you can stand the horror of a higher power hijacking your mind and body so that it can give birth to itself, I really recommend 'em.

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Vista will generally work fine on a new computer. But if you install XP, it'll fly a lot quicker (in particular, on older hardware).

hmm, let me look when I get home. I seem to remember that's all I did. But, i think it was different because I KNEW they were there.

Art Crawl!!!

meara - it's not able to "see" the analog stuff!

eta: was able to get it back to where I could watch digital cable tv through the tivo and I did a test record overnight - and it worked. (Although, that was an analog station.) I suppose I should have asked it to record Project Runway or something.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Once you've connected an Apple TV to iTunes by typing in that 5 digit code is the device section supposed to disappear from the left pane? How can I share photos to it from a computer it's streaming from?

Julie, go to your Control Panel, and then to Performance Information and Tools. On the left there's another menu. Click on Performance Options. Check to see that in the performance options for Visual Effects, the option that says "show thumbnails instead of icons" is checked. Then, in the file browser in the top menu, click on Views and then click on large icons.

If that doesn't work, I may be out of ideas.

Oh good. I remembered that happened to me back when I first got mine and clicked something that was supposed to make it speedier and suddenly it was all ugly and I couldn't see any images. It took me a while to find that. So I just added more RAM. Now I can see pictures and it's faster. I was a little surprised I could find it again.

that's exactly what I had done! Only I didn't remember I'd done that until I got to the Performance page. I am so very glad that you did remember. Photo sorting will be a breeze now! Thanks again.
