Someone hacked my boss's eBay account.
Do you have any idea how they did it? Was your boss successfully phished?

Someone got his eBay password. We really can't figure out how. Possibly through some password-guessing program, as the password, while not simple, was not the strongest either. He also used the same password for multiple sites, although no other account he has seems compromised.
eta: Don't think it was phished, as my boss is very careful about email he receives.

I suggested to him that he install up-to-date antivirus software (he stopped paying for new Semantec antivirus updates about 1-2 years ago because the antivirus scans never found anything.) But yeah, so far he hasn't checked for that. And yesterday he had that strange problem with Windows Explorer not refreshing anymore....

This guy worked on the show I did for the Griffith Observatory. Really nice guy, and it is a really cool car, he drives it every day.
