gloom, gris is right. just poke around. I did it months ago and it wasn't that difficult. it is probably in the wishlists menu.
Buffistechnology 3: "Press Some Buttons, See What Happens."
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Actually, I just went and looked, and I have a big button on the left that says "Make this list private."
But doesn't that make the list not viewable? I want the list viewable, just not the address.

Last night I went back over to Best Buy to look at laptops some more and maybe ask a couple of questions. And I ended up buying a laptop from the Office Depot next door.
I got this one -- [link]
Except I got an additional $50 off the price. No one at Best Buy acknowledged me, even though I was typing on the laptops (to see how I liked them) and checking the weight. They didn't acknowledge me when I was in there earlier yesterday or when I was there on Friday. Best Buy had that one (well an almost identical one) computer and another for $699 out the door, and I had questions, but couldn't find someone to ask so I went to Office Depot to look at what they had, and someone said hello and I looked at the laptops. They had the same thing (or what looked like the exact same thing) but with a rebate. I asked if they would match the price at the register and the assistant manager discovered the model numbers were different so they wouldn't match the price, all he could do was $50 off or the rebates.
I told him that I was going to buy it at Office Depot anyway, I just was hoping to avoid the rebate hassle and so he said "in that case I'll give you $50 off and the rebates."
And I bought a router, but when I got to the car I realized that it was the more expensive one and so I have to take it back and exchange it, so I couldn't get online with my laptop last night.
I really like it, I watched some vids on it and part of a dvd and it looked really nice and I liked the keyboard.
Although I'm not one to name my gadgets or cars I decided to call my laptop McKay.
I have a really dumb question. My powerbook laptop screen won't light up. Until I can deal with that in a proper manner, I'd like to get an external monitor so I can actually use it. Can I just go out and get whatever and plug it in? With what plugs?
I think you'll need an a adapter from Apple - either PowerBook to VGA or PowerBook to DVI, depending on what type of monitor you have.
I think the PowerBook can drive all sorts of monitor resolutions besides the native resolution of the laptop screen, but you should probably wait for someone who knows for sure to chime in....
I know I've got cables (somewhere) to plug it into my tv, because I've used it as a dvd player before. But that's it.
It's a PowerBook G4? Then you'll need either the "Apple Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter" or the "Apple Mini-DVI to DVI Adapter." The TV one won't work.
(Stupid Apple web page won't let me link directly. But go to apple.com / Store / Accessories / Portable Gear.)
I want the list viewable, just not the address.
How much of the address? I was just looking at my wishlist this morning and it lists the city and state (maybe zip code too) but doesn't list the actual street information.
