Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

I figured out a solution to my RedirectMatch conundrum above!

I changed the php for the new files so that rather than using "playlist.php?date=YYYYMMDD", I use "playlist.php/YYYYMMDD". Since there's now no question mark in the new URL, the redirect statement works perfectly.

The fake subdirectory thing is really cool. I had no idea how easy it was to implement. There's a gift with purchase in constructing the URLS that way as, supposedly, some search engines ignore parameters to the right of a question mark when spidering. Google does not ignore them, but there are claims that others do: [link]

All is well that ends in pizza.

I'm not so sure we want to be linking to an ahem site.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Frankly, I think it's a few years too late to worry about that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I can't see what trouble we could get into either.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

It sucks about isohunt. They'd always had the best search feature.

Why the past tense? See my post (and link) above.

Well, back in the day, suprnova said the same thing. Granted, IH has been better about deferring being shut-down. But I always expect the worst.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Ack! I'm using Safari, and I clicked on something wrong and the bar that shows the address of the page I'm on, and where I can type in new addresses, disappeared! I tried going to View - Hide Address Bar, and then back to Show Address Bar, but it's still just grey where it should be. I also tried quitting Safari and then opening it again, but that didn't help, either. Any cule what I did and how I can fix it? I think I double-clicked something next to the address bar when it vanished.

I just tried restarting my computer, which also didn't fix it. I can't find anything in the Safari help menu.

Yay! Fixed it! (Found a solution in a forum on the Mac website. I went to "customize address bar" and dragged the field back to the address bar.)
