Hah.
Well, I haven't done anything rash yet.
I did take my old modem and the extra new modem to the local Spectrum store to drop them off (otherwise monthly rental charges for them would still get included in my bill). The clerk had two immediate reactions. 1) "Why did they send you two?” 2) "Why did they send you such an old model?"
I didn't say anything, just took my receipt and left.
Anyone heard of/have thoughts on WeakKnees? My Tivo keeps restarting (maybe has something to do with the whole throw it in a reusuable shopping bag in the storage space rather than gently carry it from one apartment to the other), so after troubleshooting and deciding I don't want to replace the hard drive, I want to buy a new one. There are refurbished ones on WeakKnees, but are they reliable?
WeakKnees has been around for decades, and back when I had a Tivo they were great for repairs.
Yeah, I remember them from back when I had a Tivo, but that's been...well...a long time at this point.
I've had a weird thing the last several weeks where I've been unable to access YouTube from my work laptop. I suppose it could be a case of them deciding we aren't allowed access, but it seems unlikely since they occasionally use it for corporate stuff. And the message keeps saying that I'm offline and should check my connection. I'm demonstrably NOT offline (posting here, f'rinstance). The computer has been shut completely down a few times since this started, but it hasn't sorted itself yet. Not the kind of thing I can call corporate IT about, unfortunately (at least not until the next corporate thingy that happens to post there), anybody have any ideas?

Thanks, dcp! I'll give it a shot!
Does anyone have a strong opinion on MacBook Air v MacBook Pro?
