Updating to Win11. Wish me luck.

Always support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

So far, so good.

A couple of minor changes that got my attention, but everything seems to be working okay.

Ok someone help me. A recent update means instead of hitting a button at the top of my safari on iPad and seeing a list of my favorites, I now get a menu saying “safari” and how many tabs I have open and a spot for “shared with you” and then bookmarks, I have to clock the bookmarks to get to them. It’s obnoxious. How do I fix this??

I'm not sure this will get you what you are asking for, but if you go to the Settings app and select Safari, there is a toggle for "Show Favorites Bar," and also a Favorites selector that lets you choose either Favorites or BookmarksBar.

Yeah, I ended up doing that because better than nothing, but basically the button n the menu bar that used to be “tap this and get to bookmarks/favorites” now requires multiple clicks to get there and I find that annoying AF

I'm often amazed by the "upgrades" and "improvements" that require extra work to get something done. sigh .... And my office computer forces them on us on a regular basis.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

So google bookmarks are gone! Not chrome bookmarks but the google bookmarks that could be accessed from any browser by logging into the google account. I know there was a notice sent out that this was happening, but I have no memory of receiving it, and I had so much stuff on there. I suppose there is no way to access them one more time long enough to download the information?

Don’t copy that floppy.

This might help. Or not.

Tom, thanks, I didn't see Google bookmarks there specifically, but I'll keep looking around to see what I can find.
