Hey, Drew, did the Protools 11 compatibility thing with the Waves plugins get resolved? I think my incoming laptop will only run 11, but I wanted to make sure before I upgraded the desktop.
Anyone use FastMail? I'm really tired of Gmail & Calendar. I'm using the free trial now and really like the streamlined layout but wanted to solicit opinions before actually paying.
I use Airmail and Postbox to skin gmail so it's useable, on Mac and Windows respectively. For calendar interaction I use Sunrise to skin my google calendar, iCloud calendar, etc. Sunrise can run independently on Mac (maybe Windows?) and also as a Chrome app.
I've heard really great things about Sunrise.
On my phone, I really like Google Inbox, but I went back to Gmail on the desktop because there's no easy "select all unread-->delete" option in Inbox, and I don't want to keep archiving junk mail.
I'm Windows/Chrome & Windows Phone but it looks like Microsoft just acquired Sunrise so I guess that should work. I will check it out.
I basically want nothing going through Google so I need a full mail substitute, but Gmail is only a personal address not work or my online default so it doesn't have to be particularly fancy.
I've been meaning to leave Google forever (and moved my blog ages ago), I just figured I'd do it when they inevitably forced me to join Google+ and they never did. But the stupid forced birthday calendar sent me over the edge.

Sorry I'm late in answering this. Yes, it all works now, you just need to update to the AAX version of the plugs. I'm running the full Mercury bundle on PT 11 on two machines now, and the latest versions of PT also behave with Yosemite.
I've also found Outlook.com to be a very decent mail service, with a solid online experience. Never thought I'd say that about MS email!
Outlook is what I use for work actually. I do prefer it to both Gmail and Yahoo, though it's not great with formatting cut and paste.
I've heard really great things about the new Outlook for iOS app - it's not an MS product, it's one they bought, but it's supposed to be the best Gmail client out there right now.
