I swear WMM always has some backwards bug.
That's not a bug. .mov is QuickTime's format, not one of the WMM supported ones.

Tom, try unplugging your USB audio interface and/or powering down your computer (not just restarting). I dunno if it's some sound buzz buffer, but I know every once in awhile my cheap-o M-audio USB interface will do that if I jiggle the cables just wrong.
They're not USB speakers. And I get the hum even when they're not plugged into my computer.
damn. Was hoping they were plugged into a USB interface.
Hmmmm, I suspect you've got the smaller version of my M-Audio BX-8's. How loud is the buzz?
could the audio feeds to the speakers be run with some power or data lines that are inducting into the speaker audio?
When I plug the speaker cables into the right speaker (the one without the power), its cone pushes all the way back, and it gives off a soft hum. The left speaker sounds fine.
Switch the speaker cable to the other speaker and see if the problem moves with the cable. If we are lucky it's just a bad cable.
No, I tried a couple of speaker cables. And there's only one cable between the two speakers, the other speaker has a power supply and amplifier built in.
I wonder if the audio input jack got tweaked a little bit. What kind of connection is it into the powered speaker? (what model # M-audio so I can take a view online)
