All is well that ends in pizza.

Speaking of SD cards, I ran across this instructable for making an SD card socket for a breadboard.

More on the Edison: "Jammed into an SD card, the 400MHz Quark processor on board has two cores, flash memory, and includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy for communication. It runs Linux on one core and a real time operating system on the other. You can program Edison by inserting the board into the SD card reader of your computer. The pins on the bottom of the board are capable of GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, and PWM."

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Really, really dumb question. I bough my mom this canon digital camera for christmas. [link]

It did not come with a cord of any kind.

How is she supposed to get the pictures on to her computer? She thinks she needs to buy another SD card, but that seems like it wouldn't work unless she has an SD reader.

All the cameras I have ever used just plugged into the computer, and then you dragged the pictures over.

Sophia, it looks like it uses a mini USB cable.

Be careful, though, a *mini* USB connector is different than a *micro* USB connector.

The manual seems to think the USB connector comes with.

I assumed it would have a cord myself, but my mother says it does not (I am not watching her do this). I have several mini-usb cord, so I can probably send her one.

Sophia, I got a card reader at like, best buy or target for I think $6. So if she's got a card, that might be easiest.

There is neither a card nor a cable, which seems odd to me! It at least seems like that would have come up in the reviews, etc, especially since I was really looking for something that would be simple to use so my mother can take pictures of her cats and share them on Facebook!

So the options are either buy a card and a card reader OR buy a mini USB chord?

Thanks again!

You're going to need a card, whether or not you buy a card reader.

Also, it's entirely possible your Mom's computer already has a card reader built in.
